Since 2000, MME has built a reputation of providing quality directional drilling, excavation, cable laying, and pipe installation services within the Western Australian utilities sector. Our reputation has grown from our investment in state of the art equipment and technology and our employees’ commitment to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of our clients.
Due to our significant experience working around existing high-risk services, we are one of the few contractors in our field to continually and successfully deliver projects in the Perth CBD and greater metropolitan area. We have several long-term contracts with WA’s leading utility providers.
Our projects vary in size, from small pillar to pole installations to large feeder and pipe line upgrades requiring several kilometres of cable or pipe to be installed through heavily congested metropolitan environments.

Our Equipment
We pride ourselves on our ability to adopt best practice within our industry by investing in specialised equipment and technology. We are confident in the ability of our equipment to deliver the requirements of any underground infrastructure project, regardless of location or complexity. Our fleet includes WA’s only flexi drills, Ditch Witch 2020 drills, vacuum excavation trucks, vertical earthing drills, excavators, bobcats, loaders, cable winches, cable drum stands, tip trucks, and mud reclaiming systems.
Our Locating Services
We specialise in locating and protecting underground utilities within metropolitan and regional locations. Our team understands the risks construction works pose to the underground services vital to our modern lifestyles, as well as the significant impacts unidentified services can have to construction, infrastructure and maintenance projects and personnel.
We are able to locate, label, and protect assets of all major services in Western Australia including High Pressure Gas Mains, Water Mains, Sewer Mains, Telecommunication Cables, Fibre Optic Cables and Western Power Assets.
Our High Pressure Gas Supervisors
All works conducted within the vicinity of natural gas facilities must be supervised by an ATCO Gas Australia accredited High-Pressure Gas Field Supervisor. Our workforce includes supervisors, locators and spotters trained and accredited to accurately locate and protect high-pressure gas mains and ensure the safety of any works conducted within the vicinity of natural gas assets.
We ensure our clients’ projects are delivered in accordance with all permit, supervision, and other requirements of ATCO Gas Australia.
